Panagiotis Sarris

Panagiotis Sarris is a Molecular Biologist and Senior Lecturer of Plant Immunology and Microbiology in the University of Exeter. He investigates how plants resist disease and how resistance is overcome by pathogens. Using molecular biology, genetics, and biochemistry, Sarris studies the molecular basis of plant-microbe interactions to address microbial pathogenicity on susceptible hosts, and activation of innate immunity in disease-resistant hosts.
